A restaurant built out of love and necessity for his wife, owner Turtle created a fresh, fun and casual place to eat. With a full bar, live music, and a great cozy outdoor patio filled with entertaining games the atmosphere is energizing. So if you love a good time, delicious food, and great drinks then go try House Rock Kitchen.
The food they serve is a mouth wateringly delicious. All menu items are made from scratch and are locally sourced. The turkey, pork, and brisket are smoked right there at the restaurant. To eat healthy food that looks amazing, tastes incredible, and is served in large portions is priceless. The first time I walked in and saw the menu my eyes lit up with excitement. Wow they are 95% sugar, soy, gluten, and GMO free. They have multiple vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, and paleo options on the menu. They serve burritos, sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, and my favorite their house bowls. I love the Moroccan Bowl with chicken, it is out of this world. My husband can’t stop talking about the brisket sandwich. The greatness does not stop at the main course. The sides are just as spectacular with choices of: brown rice, seasonal veggies, super slaw, jicama orange salad, quinoa tabbouleh, fries, and their scrumptious sweet potato chips. I know your mouth is watering, right? I love the jicama orange salad and my husband raved about the sweet potato chips!
If you are thirsty they got you covered there too. They offer a wide selection of wine and beer. To set the bar high all of their mixed drinks are made with Kombucha. As the only restaurant in the area to serve this extremely healthy mixer, they have 4 flavors on tap. Not familiar with Kombucha, click here to see all the health benefits your mixed drink contains. I tried the Rosarita made with tequila, gran mariner, and grapefruit rose Kombucha. The drink was refreshingly delicious and best of all there is no hangover! So drink up! If you love beer they have an incredible selection of Colorado’s best craft beer on tap. There is a beer for ever craft lovers taste especially during their 1/2 off Happy Hour from 3-5 pm! If you are not feeling like a craft beer they have a fridge full of traditional beers. Wine lovers do not fret they have a great selection of wine at fantastic prices. For those who do not want an adult beverage they offer plenty of options like ice tea, lemonade, coffee/tea, organic milk, bottled water, and organic local soda.
Located on main Street, House Rock Kitchen is a short walk from all the downtown activities and action. So go and try this health-conscious stop for great food, great drinks, and a lively patio. It is clean, modern, and has ample outdoor seating, some with cozy couches and a fire pit. If you want some entertainment there are bocce ball courts and live music during the weekends on the patio. This restaurant has it all! Believe me if you are in Buena Vista Colorado you must stop by and try one of their fabulous meals the only thing you will regret is that you can’t eat there everyday.
